Foreign investors meeting the Kenya Investment Authority's minimum capital threshold can register for an investment certificate, which supports facilitation across permits, tax registration and licensing.

- —A permit does not guarantee bank account approval. Banks apply their own KYC, AML, source-of-funds and internal onboarding requirements.
- —Foreign land ownership in Kenya is limited to leasehold tenure for a term not exceeding 99 years; non-citizens cannot hold freehold title.
- —Permit holders should ensure their role, employer, business activity or investment position remains aligned with the approved immigration route.
- —Approval remains at the discretion of the relevant Kenyan authorities and is subject to applicable law, policy and documentary sufficiency.
